The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with innovation, developing and delivering training. This position starts at a salary of $106,823 (GS-13). Apply for this exciting opportunity to become a member of the FIMA team within FEMA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the program is leveraging data-driven prioritization and decision-making methods to prioritize our engagements with communities and states to ensure communities understand their unmet needs and mitigation potential.
  • Supporting the delivery of technical assistance to State, Local, Trial, and Territorial stakeholders on floodplain management topics.
  • Participating in the design and delivery of floodplain management training at the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and in field deliveries nationwide.
  • Consulting with floodplain management staff concerning ongoing issues, policies, and procedures, to ensure that existing and newly developed training reflects the most current and accurate information for a given topic.

  • Selective Service registration required.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
