Job Description:

  • Responsible for the Base / Domicile leadership of United’s largest flight attendant locations, those with greater than 2,000 flight attendants and a management team of over 25. Leads and directs base activities to achieve all performance goals including safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and budget goals. Leads a team of operations and inflight managers who are responsible for all base flight attendant activities and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring all safety initiatives are deployed in their respective location
  • Collaborates with other Operations leaders (Airport Operations, Flight Operations, etc.) to effectively manage on-time departures
    Directs the activities of the inflight base to meet performance goals
  • Provides local support to flight attendants for any inflight safety incident
  • Develops and monitors base strategies and goals and provides input to base budget
  • Collaborates with other Inflight departments, such as Policies and Procedures and Safety / Training, to ensure effective and efficient processes are implemented in the field
  • Provides reporting and follow-up to Inflight leadership on performance
  • Tracks base reliability performance and develops corrective actions to improve
  • Develops the annual budget plan and, in collaboration with Inflight business leaders and Finance, reports on ongoing forecast and budget performance
  • Responsible for base safety goals including base specific employee safety and FAA regulatory compliance
  • Responsible for Base budget plans.
  • Coordinates with Inflight safety on all safety investigations that involve their respective flight attendants

Job Requirements:

  • Indepth knowledge of Inflight contract
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • 5-8 years experience working in the Inflight division and supporting / managing flight attendants
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
